Submission Guidelines

This is the current policy for gallery submissions:

Numbered galleries: These are for canon comics that can be verified in the thread (where applicable). Complementary material such as cover pages may be accepted at admins' discretion. Content ordered chronologically.

Out and About: This is intended for works featuring the DYOS cast in external/non-canon settings, though there should be some identifiable link to DYOS overall.


DYOS Related: A catch-all gallery for other DYOS-related works such as fan-art. The line between this and 'Out and About' is currently largely admin discretion.

Restricted Section: Anything that wouldn't fly on CivFanatics must go here. Try to keep it mild; tongue-in-cheek fanservice may be permitted, anything sexually explicit will be rejected.

This group is dedicated to the talents behind "DRAW Your Own Story", a collaborative comic series hosted at the Civilization Fanatics' Center. Started in 2003, DYOS involves contributors from all over the world and involved amateur and professional artists alike, evolving from a patchwork quilt of community in-jokes into something resembling a bona-fide webcomic.

    Not many of you used the old Chatango board in the first place, but even so I've set up a server on Discord which can likewise be run through a Web browser with minimal prep time. In addition to a boatload of features, it's extremely low-latency, and (for those that like the sort of thing) has built-in VoIP functions.     Great, I haven't got anything new lined up currently but I did make a list of my main characters up until the point that DYOS had died. So I have sent them along to give a little background in what I did do.
